I know this has nothing to do with the hobby, but for those of you that care. The North Star can be seen in the sky tonight for the first time in over 800 years.
The conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn occurred last night for the first time in 800 years. It was in the southwest, not the north.
Yeah- this had nothing to do with the north star which can be seen almost every night in the northern hemisphere on a clear night. This is the "so called" "Christmas Star" which is the two planets mentioned being closer in line of sight than they have been in 800 years. If you go out to the country it is quite a site.
