Supreme Court Nominee

Obama nominates Merrick Garland, a respected judicial figure in the courts, respected even by some Repoobs.

However, Yertle the Fucking Turtle says no way no how nope nope are we gonna hold hearings to decide whether he's worthy.

How is it Yertle, a douche bag Pube, can seize the duty of the President and deny this hearing? Last I checked, Obama has 10 months remaining on his term...a President serves a 4-year term, not 3 years, 2 months and he would actually be shirking his duty to NOT nominate somebody.

Hey Yertle...FUCK YOU and the other SHIT Pubes. This will bite you in the ass...

what did obama say when he was ramming obamacare down everyone's throat?

you know, at that meeting for show with republicans when every time they tried to say something he cut them off and rambled on, talking aloud to himself with such command and pride?

oh yeah, that's it, I remember now, he said, "elections have consequences"
"Elections have consequences"...remember those words if Shillary gets elected. It's actually possible for Repoobs to look stupider than they do now.

And I don't give a shit about Obamacare, Repulicare, we care you care...I'm going on Medicare!!!

Now that the shoes on the other foot and the obstruction is being done TO a lying liberal President, you lying libs start frothing at the mouth ! And since you failed civics, the Senate isn't a rubber stamp for whatever a President wants. Merrick Garland needs to answer one question. "What is your stance on the 2d Amendment"?

Anything short of "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed", .......show him the door.
We've had this debate already. People point to the fact that 150 years ago they decreased the size of the court temporarily to block the nomination of a president they were about to impeach. So this action by the Republicans is totally reasonable and common.

The reality is that they don't want hearings because then the people of the US will see how reasonable of a choice this is and how qualified he is for the position, and the republicans would have to reveal themselves as the childish partisans they are by blocking him for the next 10 months. It's better for them to pretend that the president shouldn't get to nominate people in the last year of his presidency because some people will slurp this kool-aid down, and then turn around and say how much they love the constitution.

So what you're saying is - Senators Biden, Schumer and Reid all made their beds, but they don't have to sleep in them?

Although, to be fair, the republicans haven't denied the hearing yet.

this is a watershed election for the country

perhaps that's what's said every four years, but after 8 years of obama and the mindset of so many people now who lack proper education and understanding or a work ethic or any sort of self reliance and are full of greedful covetousness, its critical

the 2nd law of thermodynamics speaks of order to disorder, or dissipation.

this entropy holds for countries as well I suspect

Plus, the Biden Rule from 1992;
"Once the political season is under way, action on a Supreme Court nomination must be put off until after the election campaign is over,"
As President of the Senate (one of the duties of the Vice President) Biden's words carry weight no matter how partisan or stupid.
