I need ECCIE HTML banners for my new website.

I'd like to promote ECCIE and let fellows know I'm a member here with reviews they ought to be reading. I was able to implant an emblem with a link on the old site, but doesn't work the same with the new one. I need a couple of different sizes of ECCIE banners with HTML code. I tried searching and found a thread from last year http://www.eccie.net/showthread.php?t=28659, but the banner codes are not working. Can someone direct me to the most recent ECCIE technology on this? Thanks!

I'll check and get back with you on the banner codes.

Thank you so much, JB. When I tried the old codes I got something that just told me the current time. I had no problem with the HTML links from P411 and Date-Check. (Does ANYBODY on here even use Date-Check?)
Hey Babe the link above to your new site opens to a blank green page.

I think FancyinHeels new site is Flash?
I know it makes a pretty site, but you may want to reconsider that.
I don't think smart phones can view your site if it's in flash and that would explain why Tuscon sees only a green screen and why you maybe having trouble linking banners as well?

I use Date Check too!
Hope this helps.....
She has the best web site of any I have seen. You can read it and laugh your butt off.
Again the mark of a lady who takes what she does serious.... the title would make someone think it has something to do with shoes

Hi, Tucson! I'll be giving you a call today, darling. Have spent most of my waking moments when not entertaining cursing the computer as I built the new site.

Yes, it is Flash, "a cross-platform browser-based application runtime that delivers uncompromised viewing of expressive applications, content, and videos across screens and browsers," aka it lets you view very colorful sites with lots of animation and moving parts. I wasn't aware that this would be a problem, Fallon Kelly, but too late now, doggone it; I've got way too much time and effort involved now. According to my Wix host, SUPPOSEDLY a notice should could come up when you try to open it advising you that it requires Flash and directs you to a link where you can download it for free. Tucson, try going back there and giving it more time to load, and let me know, please.

(Note: I have a Google 4-G smart phone, and it DOES open my site. Just takes a few moments to load.)

ECCIE banners are not supported by Flash? Doesn't THIS site use Flash with so much going on? I'm sure the issue will be resolved. Like I said, no problems with the others.

Thank you for the kind words, Tucson and Spirit. I bemoan my old site like a lost friend, as after 4 & 1/2 years it was stuffed with photos and my own tart written view of the world, but it's frozen stuck like a polar bear's
tongue on the North Pole. I can't edit, upload, or make any changes, and a frozen website will help sink a lady's clientele like the iceberg that hit the Titanic. Several other ladies are now experiencing the same problem with the host, Rare Escorts, who has just totally abandoned any tech support in favor of their new venture, Escortsite.com. After this, I refuse to have anything to do with that consortium of companies, as what prevents them from doing the same thing again? I choose Wix because I could pretty much build it from scratch with total control, lots of options to choose from while building it, top modern technology, comprehensive tech support. (And I must thank my friend Tantalizing Tia for turning me on to them. ) One drawback - no spellcheck, so I have to be very careful with typos.

Anyone else spot any flaws or problems with the site, PLEASE let me know.
Beautiful and it opens with you smiling at me. Yes it took a few seconds to open. Now that I know to wait I am OK with waiting BUT what of the new people to the site?

Thinking that I may have to create my own ECCIE banner, but not sure how I'll link it to this site.

Not sure if this helps, but I went to google images and typed in eccie.net banners and found a small one, but I created a bigger one for you too (based on the eccie homepage).

Not sure if that will help you out or not.

You'll want to host the images on your own account in case these ever get deleted.

When you're linking to eccie on your website, put the following code into your design: <a href="http://www.eccie.net"><img src="http://www.YOURSITEURLGOESHERE.com/WHICHEVERBANNERYOUCHOOSE.JPG"> </a>

Be sure to replace YOURSITEURLGOESHERE.com with your actual site's URL, and WHICHEVERBANNERYOUCHOOSE.JPG with the actual name of the banner and it's extension (.jpg, .gif, .png, etc).

I hope that's what you were asking about in your previous post.

Also, on flash websites, most smart phones won't load the site - at least in my experience after building one a year ago, so you may want to consider building a mobile friendly site that automatically opens up if someone's using a mobile phone.

Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

I'm a little confused since on the site I'm working with HTML "widgets", but I'll try it. Thanks, Tori.

Working on a mobile form now. So far, Google and T-Mobile 4-G phones open the site, and my 3-G LG phone went there but the notice about needing Flash and the link to load it free appeared. But even after that, the calendar won't come up.

Glitches are to be expected. Really taxing my technology-challenged brain to figure this all out.

Okay in your HTML widget, all you need to do is create or move over a new one in the place you want it to be that says something like HTML code or whatever for that site, and just copy and paste the code I gave you with your URL and the name of the banner with it's extension. Be sure to upload the banner(s) to your own hosting first or it won't work.
Fancyinheels's Avatar
Nope, doesn't work. Thank you, Tori, but I think I have to have an "official" one from ECCIE with height and width in pixels specified.

Hmmm, not sure what "uploading the banner to my own hosting" is. In with my stored photos? What tells me the size? I'll try again.
