I always found it odd that when announcing the winner after 2 finalists are left, the runner-up is announced as "first runner up", so the winner is named by not being named.. with that in mind, I can see why Harvey made his mistake..

The irony is all the Columbians on that Twitter feed were calling Steve the N word, many times over. And they want to call the US a racist country? Not even close.

I'm surprised Donald trump hasn't gone off on a racist tantrum over this. Oh right... He needs black votes to win.

Steve Harvey is funny as hell... I'm surprised he couldn't come up with something witty to cover up his goof up. He just stood there like a deer in headlights which made it worst.

I first got wind of this last night when I happened by one of the Spanish language channels. They were showing the recap of the final announcement. My Spanish isn't so good any more (which is to say it's bad)…but I could tell something was up. They kept saying "yada yada yada Steve Harvey blah blah blah Steve Harvey." WTF?

Then I see the crown get moved from Miss Colombia to Miss Philippines. WTF? All this was actually more interesting by not knowing the details. Ha.

Harvey looked worse in the minutes after the Pageant, when he tweeted his regret to Miss Philpians (sic) and Miss Columbia (sic), misspelling both countries.. that made him look more stupid than mis-reading a card.

Colombia officials are preparing a lawsuit.. equally stupid.. ironically the outgoing Miss Universe is Colombian, she is the lady who took the crown off the head of the current Miss Colombia, after it was determined Miss Colombia had not won.. perhaps that slight, or a sense of entitlement motivates their intention to file suit.

Well it seems Steve is a Stand Up Guy whom I have always respected. He read what was on the card and his teleprompter. But took the heat for someone else's mistake. Like Obama you raced to judgement.
