The iconic John R. Ewing will be laid to rest this week at the family cemetary at Southfork. Mr. Ewing is the scion of the Ewing clan and a towering figure in the Texas oil industry. Many will recall the nasty divorce, court battles with Clifford Barnes, and the shooting that nearly took his life many years ago. The service will be in the afternoon and donations to your favorite charity are welcomed. John Ewing Jr. will take over the family business.
