A quick example of that is that if you are a Vista support worker at Dell computers, you don't work at Dell anymore. Someone has to stay until the lights go out in that group. Win 8 and 10 support have been staffed long before they stopped supporting Win 7. They'll place a few of the people in different jobs but nowhere near the whole group. New technology doesn't necessarily mean more employees. These days it means different employees and probably less of them.
