I thought I would share this for everybody.

I'm going to post something off topic, so please allow me a second or two to post this.

It's the time of the year when most of us are with our families, and it may be the last time you see your grandparents, parents, or other members of your families.

What better time to get some videos of the older members of your family. Next year, someone you love may not be around, so take your cellphone and tape them so even when they're gone you can see them again. Maybe laugh with them, maybe cry because you miss them so much.

Just a suggestion that some of you can at least think about, because one day they won't be around. Luckily I have videos of my mother, but nothing on my father, and I miss them very much.
Damn, DJ! Good Job!

Because I don't have anything on video with sound from my father, here is something to put an idea out there and even though members may not reply, doesn't mean they ignored it. I mean well and have nothing to gain by posting this, just trying to be a good board member with an idea or two.

Since this is a privately owned site, I'm just living in your world, avoiding members with multiple user names and avoiding setting off any of the nuclear guidelines.

I just saw a quick video of my mother taken in the early 90's. I could see her talk, laugh, and smile and I guess on Christmas eve I just needed to see this video again. She passed in 1994 and her video was from a local news station about the necessity of women getting mammograms. Luckily I was able to attain a copy of this video.

Please, if you have a family gathering and especially if you have some elderly family there, be sure to hit the video on your cell phone.

One day you will cherish the videos you take, just like I cherished seeing my mother and hear her talk tonight.
I last visited my Mom Dec 8th 2018, she past at 4:55 am on Dec 9th.
My Father passed away on March 29th around 3:30 pm, I was at Jury duty on a federal case. I got picked but when I was released for the day to go home, I got the news. He passed away in his sleep in his recliner. My oldest sister was spending time with him and he said he was going to take a nap.

I visit their graves often and talk to them. I cherished the time I had with them, the talks, and just listening to them. I have great memories and pray I retain them and relive them until I too join them.
