The muck on the track was a decisive factor, but it is nearly impossible to correctly factor in such a complex variable into the equation, but then that is exactly what makes a horse race so exciting to watch!

History as shown the Belmont is the toughest race to win out of the 3 triple crown races.I knew it was a crap shoot to pick the winner on a muddy track so I didn't bet on the race.The horse that stays the cleanest usually wins on a slow muddy track not the best beyer speed horse or the horse with the most class and talent.Notice how clean the first 2 horses faces are in the top picture?This year was a weak class of 3 year old horses running the triple crown races.The sport of kings needs another Seabiscuit , Secretariat or another Zenyatta.
