This will suck if it s true

I don't give out my eMail address and
don't join a group if they share member list.

I just got a message from a a place and they should not have my eMail address.

I just hope some one has not sold anything from the AS-PD database.

This would truly fingSux.

ASPD's copyright statement was pretty inclusive.

You provided your email address when you joined the site.

If ASPD then chose to use it for a new site or if someone in an Admin capacity decided to make a copy of it and sell it, well, that sucks to be you especially if you did not use a disposable hobby email address that should have been deleted once ASPD went dark.
I got an unsolicited email as well from an unknown source. Fascinating.

Don't forget a certain admin that was dismissed (and had so many people grateful for his hard work and integrity) stole the ASPD mail list to set up a competing site pretending it was actually a seperate site for ASPD socials and as a back-up when ASPD was down.
I wasn't around when the h2 site was set up, so I somehow doubt thats it. Plus, I did not change my email addy on ASPD to the current one until about a week before closing, so that I could get notices from AngelImNot about any "new board" happenings. So I highly doubt my issue stems from that source.

NO, zero nada...emails were stolen to start up any other site.

Folks who where on the social invites from all different cities & some who traveled in from other states to attend many of the varying TX socials. Were on the invite list.
Those folks were emailed and notified of the home2 site as a place to hang out while aspd crashed. Amber was well aware of the home2 site for that reason. Those folks who were notified of the site *asked* if they could notify their hobby friends etc. And such that's how that site came about. Just like this site did.

Unless you have 1st hand knowledge that said Adims stole emails and set up the site with those emails. Then don't make accusations.
I personally can't stand folks making unfounded accusations when they don't have proof to back it up.

Where are these unsolicited emails coming from??

Yeah, good question...where are they coming from and what is the gist of these e-mails? I get many unsolicited e-mails everyday from all over.

You mean besides the people running ASPD and the fact I got one but was not on the social list?

In those databases are the email addresses of all members of ASPD current at the time the backups were created. Where the idea of theft originally came from, I don’t know. However, it was clearly posted on ASPD, after Deuce and Angel took over, that H2 had nothing to do with ASPD and that left a hint of impropriety in the whole situation surrounding the creation of H2 with ASPD databases.
