Questions for the 'confiscation' advocates...

Suppose for a moment that you get your way. Congress passes confiscation legislation and all of the law abiding citizens give up their guns (they're the only ones who would. Criminals won't. They don't give a shit about laws.)

The next school shooter is out there somewhere and he's already got his gun(s).
In the aftermath, what would you do next? What would you want then?

Another exercise in futility???

The politicians who push that through should be made to go door to door to ask for the guns. My guess is they won't be interested in doing it themselves.

And which politician is pushing for confiscation of all guns?

One possible scenario would be to create a situation of Martial Law. Banks would close. Money, Food sources and fuel would be limited. Most people would submit to this type of hardship by disarming themselves and allowing the Government to take care of them. This would be the ultimate control of the people by the Government, which is what "Gun Control" really is about. So when you hear talk about "Gun Control" forget about the Governments concern for anyone's safety. The control they really have in mind is controlling you.

A number of democratic politicians have said similar things. Admittedly very few have actually ever expressed a desire for confiscation or even a complete ban. This was the only one I remember and that I could find a reliable quote.

They know they do not have the votes. That's the only reason they dont pusf for it.

Obama, and yes, I do like the man, said he didn't think citizens should own guns.

Dianne Feinstein ....

.... wants to ban guns, ....

.... but when she was running for mayor of San Francisco she agreed NOT TO BAN the bath houses and the torture chambers (with emergency rooms next door to sew up folks) for the "Gay vote" in S.F. even when it was revealed that young people were being dragged off the streets inside.*

I am not sure exactly what Feinstein is getting at with her statement. It is NOT a proposal to ban guns. I would agree with you or anyone else that if any politician would support a total ban on guns it would be her. But she has at no time during her tenure in the House proposed legislation asking for a total ban on guns. BTW, I wish Feinstein would just go away.

And as for the statement from Rahm Emanuel, I could not find the context in which it was stated, but it is also NOT a proposal to ban ALL guns. I have no idea what an "entirely new class of guns" is.
