Funny how some here consider a botched operation under Senile Biden a success

Local reports from the raid in Syria highlight a total disaster.

-At least 10 women and children murdered.
-The ISIS leader blew himself up before he was apprehended.
-US lost a helicopter and was forced to then bomb it.

There's much more to this story.

Only good thing is another ISIS "austere religious scholar" is dead because he blew himself up

Let me get this straight- The military goes in to kill a guy, and he's dead as a result. But you don't like the idea that some equipment was damaged, or that collateral damage to civilians happen? At what point, does the military get the credit for the kill, but you all can't stop to criticize our military for an equipment issue? You're never going to stop a person who's wearing a suicide vest from blowing themselves up. If they do it in a room full of kids, adults and relatives, that's on that dude. It's not our military's fault. Sometimes life isn't like in the movies where they're able to shoot 30 bullets in less than 1.5 seconds and kill the bad guy. But I understand that everything in this sandbox is designed to be a ding against the current administration. I actually like it whenever a bad guy gets blown up; whether it's by a drone, a rocket, a bomb or lots of bullets. Dead bad guys are good bad guys.

Two things can be true at the same time

1. It's good that another ISIS "austere religious scholar" is dead because he blew himself up

2. That this was a botched operation that resulted in at least 10 women and children murdered and a US helicopter lost.

You said it was botched. I didn't. I said they had an equipment failure. I don't think it was botched at all, since the target's dead. The fact that others died along with him, is directly related to that actors bad actions.

Eye is right this time, berry. We also lost a helicopter on the op that killed bin laden in 2011, yet nobody regards that as a failure.

A truly botched raid would look more like Jimmy Carter's Eagle Claw Op.

If the only objective was killing the target and not caring about collateral damage, a drone missile was a far safer and better option than putting troops in harms way. But the mission was conducted to avoid collateral damage. Hence it was botched (and saying it was botched is from someone in the military who would know).

Again, its great that another ISIS "austere religious scholar" is dead but anyone thinking this mission went as planned is not thinking straight
