From what I gather, I wouldn't panic and go deleting your account and such. According to the article Backpage was "actively engaged" in promoting illegal activities.

I am concerned about the new law, but I think Eccie is ok for now.

The quality and use of BP is a debate for another thread. I found a lot of traveling eccie ladies that way.
