So, the Offshore Technology Conference is quickly approaching. (May 5-8)
Anyone, guys or girls, coming to Houston? I'd love to start compiling a list of parties and activities.

Great idea! That would be a great reason to visit.Yes it would be! The guys here are already complaining that there are never enough girls around to party with that week!

The good news is our carpet munching Mayor has more or less told the HPD to lay off the strip clubs and party girls, it's bad for business.Reallly?? I never thought I'd see the day when that would happen!
She knows that men do not come to the OTC to visit the museum district. Originally Posted by Jackie S

Perhaps you folks can share a few ideas with me as I look for that perfect spot to dine with a lovely lady. I have visited a large number of Houston's finer establishments, but have yet located the one with the atmosphere I desire.
I am interested in a locale that truly provides for an intimate dining experience 2 to 3 hrs in length (pre-dinner cocktails, nice wine selection with meal, desert cocktails) where the tables are somewhat secluded and the noise level is low. Food choice is less important than atmosphere as long as the food is prepared properly the taste should be sufficient.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Originally Posted by deejohn
