For pre 1986 transferrable MG - the Ruger AC 556 is a great weapon - with 3 shot burst and FA capability, reasonable price , and parts and repair available.
HK makes a good Hk 33, and a short barrel HK 53 - but stay away from teh four position burst trigger pack - it is needlessly complex and not sufficiently reliable
