We are familiar with the deception of some providers using stolen photos, especially in BP ads. I have just read an article in Fortune magazine describing this same deceptive practice used by a different group of service providers - plastic surgeons.
The most prominent victim of such theft is Omaha plastic surgeon Steve Denenberg, who is well-known for posting impressive before-and-after face shots of his own patients (with their permission) on his website. Using simple Google Image searches, he has discovered that his photos have been widely used by other plastic surgeons and skin-care product companies in their ads.
