Does anyone know where there is a certified weigh scale for trucks in north austin? I'm doing a move and to get reimbursed I need weight tickets for the U-haul truck. CAT scales would work or something like that but I searched on the internet and found nothing.

Closest one I know of is the Seguin Sunmart; sorry man.
there is one at the corner of denson and airport, across from highland mall. I've used in in the past. It's certainly NOT obvious. It's beside xpedex (something like that) paper company just West of the railroad tracks on Denson by about 100 ft.
To be honest, it's been long enough that I can't swear they still are open to the public, but wouldn't cost you anything to ask.
There is also one at the dump off 290 just East of the Flea Market. They weigh trash trucks there. You might check the DPS office on Denson @ Airport for info as well.
Try companies that sell landscape material. Many times they will have a truck scale so you can pick up rocks which are sold by the ton.
There's one in Jarrell on the north bound side of the freeway.
I want to thank everyone who responded. After sitting at the transportation office for a couple hours they gave the name of one certified weight scale in austin. For anyone thats interested its:
Central Transportation Systems at Howard and 35 behind Home Depot.
