Best area to stay in Lubbock?

What part of Lubbock is most convenient for hobbying?

I also want to avoid any run-down shady or undesirable areas.

I've booked my flight, but wanted some input before I finalize my room.

My choices are 1) Southwest/Buddy Holly, 2) Wolfforth, 3) Texas Tech, or 4) South.

All of which mean nothing to me lol!
Southwest loop area is the best

All pretty new with a range of hotels that are easy to get to .

Don't bb in Lubbock!!!! Has some of the highest cases of std's in the nation!!!

As Larry said....Southwest Loop area....decent hotels and lots of restaurants.
