I've tried to send several PMs today but they don't show up in my sent box. Not sure what's going on.

When replying to a PM using the Quick Reply box, that reply will not be saved in your Sent folder. When replying to a PM using the 
button, that reply will be saved in your sent folder. Also, within your User CP under Edit Options you must have the following option checked...
