What area is the best for the price for a hotel to stay for the Mardi Gra week?

I'm afraid I can't answer your questions because I don't live in N'awlins but welcome to the Big Easy. Hope you enjoy your stay.

I highly doubt you'll get anything downtown. Slidell was even over 200 for modest ones last time I was in town for this.
