a brief thesis on why I oppose raising the Minimum Wage

Fast Food drive-through "Workers".. Hell, Fast Food workers in general.

the past week, this is my experience.. 2 times, "hi, may I help you"? I give my complete order.. pause.. "I'm sorry can you repeat that"? I follow with "did you not hear anything I said"? "no, sorry, can you repeat it"? one lady said "I didn't hear nothing"! I couldn't help myself.. "you didn't hear nothing, or you didn't hear anything"? she didn't realize she was being ridiculed.. "no, I didn't hear nothing"!

another time I gave the "Worker" $40.71 for an order that cost $21.66.. Fucker never looked, assumed I gave him a $20 and a $1, and started to give me back a nickel. I told him "I gave you $40", he argued, but got the Manager, who took the register and asked if he could count the cash inside? sure, what else can I do? minutes later the Manager apologized, gave me correct change, while his "Worker" sulked in the background.

the Drive-through workers randomly give napkins and plastic forks.. you may get them, one of them, or none. no way to know.

granted, these examples are brief and statistically irrelevant. but the thought of any of these Jack Wads earning $15 an hour makes me CRINGE.
Welcome to conservative ideology...but you got the premise(flawed thesis) wrong.
ALL jobs have a value and $15 an hr. for unskilled labor is a recipe for a failed business model.
They do much better at Chik-Fil-a in my experience.

So, I take it you’re not voting Democrat in 2020?

Don't worry Chung. When the MW hits $15 they'll be replaced by kiosks.

The minimum wage increase has already resulted in the closing of many smaller restaurants in Seattle. The irony is, the left claims be anti- corporate but, big companies like Mickey D's can absorb the costs of runaway regulations better then the mom and pop joints. Heavy handed liberal policies actually help to give big corporations a bigger piece of the economic pie by driving smaller companies out of business.

Free enterprise and Free Markets are anathema to the DPST's - they embrace Govenment control of all enterprise.

Chik-Fil-A is remarkable, closed on Sunday, but still wipes the floor on the others. they get more business in 6 days than the others do in 10.

my thread post was 12 hours too early.. another bad experience at Popeye's today at lunch.. the Dude listened, but he punched in the wrong items on his little screen, then a big debacle on what he was saying the price was.. the printed out receipt showed the order right, but it was still keyed in wrong, and there was no price listed on the receipt! Managers came over, the line was held up for 6-7 minutes while it got sorted out.

what's funny (?) is this particular Popeye's seems to cook the chicken better than others, their service has been pretty weak, but passable.. the chicken is better, and was today, but every single Yelp review gives this location one star, there are 20+ reviews, ALL of them a single star, all of them bitching about the shitty service. meanwhile there is a Chik-Fil-A next door, biggest I have ever seen, the drive-through space is extremely large. can you say bye bye Popeye's?
