why do I deserve the lotto ?
Many times you see 1 single survivor from a crash that kills 100 others. They go through life with emotional distress, always asking, "Why was I the one to survive ? Why me ?"
But when someone wins 450 million on the lotto, with astronomical odds of having the winning numbers, you don't hear them saying, "Why am I the one ? Why me ?"
It's both sides of the same coin........isn't it ?

most Lotto winners are terminally fucked, they just haven't figured it out yet.
i'll play the Lotto when 2 things happen:
1. positive expectation value;
2. anonymous winning guaranteed.
the first happens occasionally, the latter almost never.
To calculate expectation value, take the prob of a win*amt of a win - prob of a loss *amt of a loss. it has gone positive several times with extremely large jackpots in play, although there is a reason for the bumper sticker: "A lottery is a tax on people bad at math." Some of the worst gambling returns you can find in any game.
Looks like the expected value break even point on Mega millions is a jackpot of 520 million. Wait till then, you can expect to win 2 cents after your $ 2 entry fee

No, you're never gonna get it / Never never gonna get it.
There is true survivors guilt.....no such thing as winners guilt.
