New Orleans police have arrested a cab driver after allegations he took a drunk woman to his home and raped her.
Cops booked 60-year-old Iqbal Pervez with 2nd degree kidnapping early this morning.
His bond is set at $100.000.
The arrest came after a woman told investigators that she went out drinking in the French Quarter, a friend put her in a cab around 3:00am Saturday, and she woke up inside a strange place with a man on top of her, raping her.
It was later reported that the she was inside an apartment on Edenborn Avenue in Metairie.
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is also investigating and could bring charges in Jefferson Parish.
