Mods, I think this needs to be clarified

Here is a link to a review of new verified provider Obabie posted in "other reviews"

http://www.eccie.net/showthread.php?t=971797

My concern, expressed in the thread is that for some reason or other, some new gals sometimes have their reviews relegated to "other reviews" when they meet all the criteria to be placed in "independent provider" reviews.

I think that being in "other reviews" as opposed to "independent provider reviews" can hurt a gal.

For example, when I'm shopping for new strange, or looking for a new gal to put up with nasty flinde shit, I browse "independent provider reviews" and I conduct appropriate Boolean string word searches of independent providers utilizing the search feature.

When looking for new strange, I dont search San Antonio generally, and I dont search "other reviews". Heck, for years I never even read "other reviews", but do now sometimes with the influx of sub $030 clean low volume mocostrange.

I'm guessing "other reviews" has many less page views than "independent providers". At least by me. So, a review posted there is less likely to be read by a potential ho monger shopping for soul deadening, hollow, cheap, unfulfilling sex for pay. Which can potentially hurt a gal playing by all the "independent provider" rules here and spreading her legs to feed herself and her family.

Plus, "independent providers" has a cachet - an undefinable certain savoir-faire (excuse my french) that is lacking among the Guadalupe and Picoso inhabitants of "other reviews". Independent Provider Reviews is "Pretty Woman". Other reviews is "Taxi Driver".

When I commented about this in the above linked review, my esteemed colleague hookworm begged to disagree, stating that "Under .8 stays here. She is too cheap for an indy. DAM good review, btw."

Excuse me, but with all due respect, what the fuck??? By my venerable colleague hookworm's rule, every porn star super star charging $500 an hour that I schmooze with that patented flinde charm and wit and talk into blowing me for $060 should have their reviews relegated to "other reviews".

Additionally, there are plenty of young and dumbasses who hit Presa and pay more than 080 and post reviews that rightfully belong in "other reviews".

Independent Providers is filled with sub 80 reviews. And it should be if the reviews meet "independent review" criteria.

So, I guess I'm wanting a discussion, with mod participation, of the criteria for placing a review in "independent reviews" v "other reviews". Yea, I know the criteria have been spelled out, big as life, buts its these additional "rules" that crop up like this 80 or less rule that needs discussed.

Glad you brought this up. I have always wondered what the criteria, if any, there was for that. Usually if i see a moco girl i review here under other.
Other Reviews:
Post reviews to share your experiences with the rest of us. These are visible to the general public. Session details are placed in "The Rest of the Story," a private section of the review visible only to Premium Access members. Premium Access is granted at staff discretion, 6 weeks credit given per review. You may also purchase a Premium Access subscription. Details can be found by clicking the Premium Access tab at the top of every page.
In my opinion and that is all that I can offer (that section was there way before I started this gig). The other reviews section is where you review the amateurs or the ladies that are not part of an escort advertising system.
  • Moco girls that are not part of our community (the ones that are, you should place in independent or agency if there is a manager).
  • Street walkers.
  • A girl you met because you called that infamous number in a bathroom stall (and she loves to bone).

We try to move reviews when we catch them, but with so many ladies coming and going, it's very difficult catching up. If a lady has been reviewed here AND she is a member here, please PM me with the link to that review AND the name of that member (correct spelling please). Preferably I would like, a link to that lady's profile.

So BP would be considered a escort advertising system??

I do recall reading somewhere we are supposed to put BP in the title

I know, jj, and I usually bring those reviews to your attention. But its a hassle, unnecessary work for you, and I'm concerned that the delay could potentially affect the gal's bottom line.

Moving review when caught by someone seems to be increasingly a hassle with the mocomigrants and the generally increasing quality, dependability of some mocohos.

You dont need the extra work. In fact, I been meaning to ask you if you could maybe take some vacation time or personal days if you have any accrued from modding and come clown with me again for a couple days. Be like old times.
I made a newbie mistake and posted an early review in "Others" because I was unclear on the category criteria. That error caused me to be initially turned away by a very well-known VP, as she said she does not see guys who see SWs. I don't do the SW scene at all and we finally got it moved, but it contributed greatly to me being delayed in meeting her by a year.

My basic perception of the "Others" section is that is for SWs and Moco, and probably CL.

Hm. So it can hurt guys too. Didn't realize that. Thanks for the info Pdid.

My distinction.

Before I'll see a gal, she has to have a couple reviews, whether or not she belongs to eccie or is verified. Must have reliable contact info. Phone, pm, even moco pm can be reliable.

I'm almost always an incall guy so she would need an incall also.

Obviously advertising somewhere. How else would I know about them (DTS in moco chat is obviously advertising in my opinion).

Meeting all these criteria = independent provider review.

Whether a member here, verified here, how much, in my opinion have nothing to do with it.

I gave up on street hos in my youth, so I'm more likely to run into a penthouse letter situation than an other review situation.
It's really no real work at all (unlike editing members' posts). All I have to do is move threads around. I don't even have to create a non-member account (because they are already members here).
