Post Hurricane Harvey and Consumer Goods Supply and Demand Issues and Your Gripes and Concerns
Went to the store to get milk today for the little ones. Darn it, there was no milk on the shelves and there's another storm brewing in the Atlantic.
Let's hear your gripes and concerns about these supply and demand issues. I know I can't be the only one!
There's a lactating post in H-town, but you gonna hafta pay ...
NU2..u might need to make a drive up north. Wally world and HEB have been stocking shelves. Limited time 10 to 3 or 5
Do you not realize that there is still flooding in the area??? It's kind of hard to get supplies to places if you need a boat to get there! You Houstonians are some of the whiniest fucks I have ever met in my entire life. Sheesh.
Thanks stiffwood7, it looks like some 18-wheelers are getting deliveries made to the grocery stores off of highway 290. Timing is everything, almost have to be right at the store when the truck comes in or first thing in the morning if the truck unloads at night. Besides HEB off of 290, the Walmart off of 290 has been getting some trucks in too.
I had great difficulty scoring gas today.. in DFW.. the weekend Labor Day travel schedules are shot for many people.. my main concern is limping over to Dallas to nail a Korean Spa lady; thank God, at least my gas can cover that.. and my K-Lady won't require a cover, thank God
Bro...there is walmart off Loretta and 45. If drive a little more..there a walmart off sawdust
Chung, I did not know you had a gas shortage in north Texas too. I saw people pumping gas into cars off of 290 today several gas stations. I suspect there will be a run on gas soon. Whether supply keeps up with demand for gas in the short-term is anyone's guess.
Almost time for me to go top off my gas tank..
Stiffwood7, doesn't Highway 45 north still have some bad (flooded) spots?
NO..been on it today..45N is clear ...now
Remember..1st come 1st serve...i was in Conroe this afternoon and shevles were kinda bare..not in a good way
It is supposed to rain in Houston on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week too. Something like 40% or 50% chance each day.
