Interesting parallel in history (I never knew)

A Jewish man helped George Washington save America.

And an American President helps to save Israel.

Tribe of Judah and the lost tribes of Israel (House of Joseph)
helping to save each other? Don't know, could be.

Someone should write a book.
In one of my books on Israeli military history I know there is one or two chapters devoted to airlift. Throughout the book the airlift is referenced, at time, when describing the order of battle and available equipment. I will see if I can find it tonight.

Nixon, for all his arrogance and pettiness, could make a decision......I knew who Richard Nixon was as president. Didn't like him then, but compared to now.....you call this leadership?
Today.....who are these people? Every day a new lie, a new law, half truths, bad policy, no budgets, outrageous debt and no real interest in doing the nations business. Both sides.

Solomon should be on the one dollar bill not Washington, and Washington would be the first to agree. A great man that served his country when the country needed him then served his community until he died.

Sadly, any leader at any level who has never had to make crucial calls and deal with the results can never measure up to those who have.

Thanks for the information and links.

A different link if the second one doesn't work.

Okay, I read the above link and have no wish to carry this forward in a political sense. But since I posted earlier that I would find the airlift information.

I scanned (quickly) through one of my books on Israeli military history. Did not (quickly) find any reference to the airlift. What I did know, and had forgotten, was that Nixon put the country on DefCon 3 if the USSR kept up reinforcements to Egypt. Moving to Defcon 3 is big stuff.

I'm through, let's tawk gawf.
