Come to my place lol. I'm the queen of southern cooking. I'll make sure to whip u up something real nice

I've never went out for soul food cooking. I usually prepare that type of food at home. I'm a beast in the kitchen.

But if anyone knows of a good southern place I'm all ears. I've heard of "Sweet Georgia Brown" but I've never been there.
Have you tried "Mama's Daughters' Diner"?

Biscuits & gravy, chicken fried steak, ham & eggs, grits, meatloaf, chicken & dumplings

Southern home cooking.

Quote from their websit: "We’re blushing, but we’ve been recognized in many publications, such as Paula Deen and Southern Living magazines."

I buying if you want to join me for lunch sometime.

I also like Po Melvin's in Irving. Food so good you'll slap your mother
You might try "The Ranch" in las colinas. Southern cooking (fried chicken, catfish, mac and cheese, etc.) with almost all ingredients locally sourced. Nice place with some of the best fried chicken i've had in quite a while.

Sistah's Mississippi Styled BBQ on Arkansas in Arlington. The place is tiny, next to a tattoo parlor, and authentic. Not just bbq, either. Fried chicken, ribs, greens, cornbread, peach cobbler.

And it's really run by a couple of sistahs.

Damian's in Arlington is hands down the best around. I'm partial to cajun/creole cooking and they nail it. It's like an orgasm in your nose when you walk in and smell this place. Only open for lunch and weekends are rare but if you are in the area you will not be disappointed. My favorites there are their smothered pork chops, smoked meatloaf, and their gumbo. The smothered cabbage and greens are my go to sides.
