I remember seeing them in Aurora in 1965 at an out door concert.

In 1965 I remember the teenagers in Denver belonging to three tribes: The Surfers, who had a Beach Boy look, not letting it bother them a bit that the nearest ocean was several hundred miles away and the Soches, who had a vaguely Beatles look, but with Army surplus jackets and corduroy pants...Downtown still had lots of Greasers with the whole "Wild One" "Brando is God" look.

Actually saw them in Japan in the 60's when they were touring. The cover band was a Japanese group who tried to look like the Beatles but who sounded like Yoko Ono screaming. This was way before she hooked up with John Lennon. I was very young @ the time, had a flat-top hair cut like my dad.

I never understood the attraction to Yoko Ono; I doubt it was her musical talent.
