Fun things to do in Des Moines over the weekend

Hi friends,

What are some fun weekend activities that me and my girlfriends can get into this weekend?

We're looking for a nice restaurant & bar scene + shopping

Downtown and the East Village have a ton of options.

Valley Jct has a few options as well and is getting better.

What's your flavor for food? Beer? Wine? Alcohol?

East Village neighborhood if looking for some small boutiques.
della Viti wine bar is there as well as Lime Lounge or Tiki.
also may want to try

Come to Iowa City. Much more fun than Des Moines.

I can sure think of something fun to do if you were able to come either to Cedar Rapids or the Quad Cities

Iowa city has more going on then Cedar Rapids.

For Iowa City and Cedar Rapids being the smaller cities seems to be more going on there than DesMoines... i guess ill find out soon enough
