TO ALL THOSE ON THIS BOARD THAT MAY BE FRIENDS,OR NOT MET. I PERSONALLY THANK YOU!
WE.... TODAY.. NEED TO HONOR HEROES, TO REMEMBER THEIR ACHIEVEMENTS, THEIR COURAGE…THEIR DEDICATION AND TO COLLECTIVELY SAY THANK YOU.
…AND THE FAMILIES AND FRIENDS OF THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED.

THE SERVICE MEMBERS WE HONOR TODAY . CAME FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE. BOTH RICH AND POOR. BUT…THEY ALL SHARED SEVERAL FUNDAMENTAL QUALITIES. COURAGE. PRIDE. DETERMINATION. INTEGRITY. DEDICATION. THESE ARE THE QUALITIES NEEDED TO SERVE A CAUSE LARGER THAN ONE’S SELF.

MANY OF THEM NEVER ASKED TO LEAVE THEIR HOMES AND TRAVEL TO FAR AWAY COUNTRIES. MANY DIDN’T VOLUNTEER. THESE BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN WERE CALLED TO SOMETHING MUCH BIGGER.
TODAY...WERE ORDINARY PEOPLE WHO RESPONDED IN EXTRAORDINARY WAYS. WHEN NEEDED, THEY STOOD TALL BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO PROTECT AMERICA…A COUNTRY THAT GAVE THEM SO MUCH.
I DO APPRECIATE YOUR AND HOPE ALL STAY IN HIGH SPIRITS FOR THOSE WEVE LOSTED.

Dear Callie:

Thank you for your comments. Today is a day to remember those in particular who gave their lives in the service of their country. All of us can do little things to show our respect. At National Cemeteries, people gather on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend to place flags on the graves. But there is another way to show respect. Tomorrow, all those flags have to be removed so they can be used again next year, and many fewer people are available to respectfully remove those flags. If you are available, and you are near a National Cemetery, please consider helping to remove the flags.

Thanks,

JaG
