interesting article on how the recession has affected the escort biz

I came across an article today with some interesting data on the escort industry, and thought I'd share it here. The article is long but I found the charts further down the page to be rather intriguing. One of them suggests that the average hourly rate has actually gone down in the last 8 years, and another shows the differences in what a provider can supposedly command on average based on race, hair color and length, etc.. Of course long blonde hair commands the most, which just makes me wonder why more ladies don't just dye their hair or don a believable wig, lol..

The article:

Interesting information. I am an old goat and the fact that the older guys look for intelligent women and longer sessions applies to me. For me a two hour session and a dinner after is ideal.

This was good...the first five times it was posted on the board...

But since many readers do not have the time to read every post--or may actually be new members--there is value to some repetition. Those who already know it can easily move on without having been too badly inconvenienced I suspect.

Search is a useful tool for some things. However some are not inclined, or do not have the time, or wish to bring a topic back to the forefront that was buried on page 40 because it had not been discussed for a while. Could be any number of reasons.

You seem to confuse a discussion board with a research library. Maybe you wish to volunteer to be the head librarian--all potential posts get submitted to you and you adjudicate whether they are worth posting, or whether the topic has been mentioned too often already.

Everyone adjudicates every thread they see to decide if they want to read it or not...I simply vocalize my verdict...

Do you have an issue with that?

It depends what you mean by "have an issue with".

Do I think you shouldn't be allowed to say what you say? No, I do not think that.

Do I think some of your posts are informative and thought provoking? Yes, I think some are.

However what you say is often lost in your bombastic, hostile approach. You seem far more interested in shitting on people than contributing to a conversation--for you it is the act of shitting that seems to be the end, and the topic is almost immaterial. Why say something civilly when you toss in a few insults and supposedly demonstrate your intellectual and moral supremacy?

No, no "issue" on my part. Of course you have the right to assess a post and express your opinions. Do I not have the right to assess your style and express my opinion of it? Most your posts I actually just ignore, but occasionally I do choose to comment. So long as it is outside the Politics forum I even try to be civil, but that obviously does not mean I agree with you.

Amassing 15K posts on an SHMB without coming off as an annoying nuisance most of the time must be quite a challenge, don't you think?

But as usual, you are spot on about things, including Wakeup.
In the ecosystem of online communities everywhere there MUST be a caustic dick with a least some intelligence and a sense of humor. Mods hate/love them because although they get reported for hurting everyone's feelings they didn't actually break rules...and sometimes they make you smirk.

Wakeup is ECCIE's. It could be much worse.
