Well I had to look around to find this incident. It turns out it's not exactly what the OP thinks it is. The suspect was being pulled over for a Traffic Violation and fired a few shots at Officers. Suspect refused to stop so Officers gave chase. Many Officers were involved and many shots were fired ending the life of the suspect. Yeah I would say the Officer's lives were endangered. Looks like it's a justifiable shooting.
