Touring soon.....what are the best locations to stay in?

Hi guys and dolls......I am touring soon....What is the best location to stay at in? Looking for Safe, medium priced hotels with suites. Also easy access for the guys during the week and weekend. Thanks for helping me out. Looking forward to seeing you gents soon.

Several places along South Padre Island Drive, lots of restaurants in area and easy access.
