Unless they are going to show you there ID I would never share that info with a provider.
I had an appointment set up with Giabella in June and she cancels at last minute because I did not PM her 3 hours before meeting, which had never been mentioned previously, but I did text her exactly when I said I would.

It is a red flag for me if a provider doesn't or won't use the established verification systems. I agree with blue, they should ask from me only if they are willing to provide me with the same info about themselves. I know all about working for a small business and what happens when a phone call comes in that doesn't pass the smell test with HR. Red flags and alarms go off so that is never fucking happening again especially when they aren't smart enough to block their damn phone number. Yes HR knows how to google numbers too. I was called in about it and said it must have been some prank and know nothing about what the hell is going on.
I agree that the OP did the right thing. I don't know how you make what happened "right". I can see an apology and reimbursement for the room as a good place to start but personally wouldn't be interested in seeing her. The part about him not passing her screening but sending someone else in her place makes no sense, why would you do that?

No TRex, has not contacted me since. I didn't mean to start a firestorm, but it just sucked that I played by her rules and spent money on a nice hotel for the first encounter, then got stood up. I've read good things about the other provider she mentioned, so maybe I will allocate my funds in that direction. Perhaps I have too big a heart, but I hate giving the girl a negative review. I would have a fear of getting burned twice by dealing with anyone in her inner circle of friends. Perhaps the other provider had/has no knowledge of this whole situation and was never contacted by her. I hope she contacts you and you will be able to post that everything has been squared away to your satisfaction.

Well give her a chance to reply, give her side and if appropriate make it right. I've never had this happen with her, and don't know of anyone previously who has. She's a sweetheart and if it went down as written, I'd like to think that something unavoidable came up. Hope she's ok, and that she and Duke can get this resolved between them.
