Best mall/clothes shopping close to DFW airport?

Coming in for the weekend with a friend and I want to surprise her with a shopping spree. We are staying dallas side of DFW airport and want to uber her somewhere for a couple hours of shopping while I am in meetings and then I will drive my rental to pick her up...go grab dinner and drinks and head back to the hotel.....recommendations are appreciated.... I know there are some really cool outdoor shopping areas or the outlets..ofcourse the Galleria or Grapevine Mills.....just not super familiar with what would be somewhat close to try to avoid too much traffic
Take her to SAM MOON....especially if she's never been.

Heck with that, what are the best providers by the airport? You look interesting Carmella
Best mall/shopping? Needless Markup ... I mean Neiman Marcus, at the Galleria. And when you've got done there just have her stroll down to the other end of the Galleria and have her pick out a little something at Tiffany's.

Of course, if you want something left from your annual salary ... I wouldn't be the one to ask about anything to do with fashion that doesn't involve Levis and Adidas and a Chelsea sweatshirt.

If the weather is nice, and you don't mind a little extra $$ for an Uber, Highland Park Village is an outdoor complex with upscale shops, some dining sprinkled in, and a fun place to window shop. http://hpvillage.com (And...as a bonus, you can swing by the Beretta shop when you pick your lady friend up!)

Al Biernat's, an ultra fine, old school steak house is a few minutes away, for dining afterwards. https://www.albiernats.com

Enjoy!

Irving mall is the best hands down.

I do my shopping at Valley View Mall. I love getting flashbacks to Bomb Shelters that sprang up around the Tet Offensive..

Grapevine Mills is really the closest to the airport.

That’s a wasteland for good clothing stores as far as I know. Unless Bass Pro Shop is your kind of clothing store. I think the rearest group of midline clothing stores would be the Galleria. Nothing over the top good there, but you should be able to find adequate versions of most anything.

Thank you everyone for your recommendations. Probably will stick with the Galleria since she will need to burn a few hours and there is a lot of stuff to do.

Now just looking for a nice restaurant and bar to enjoy Friday evening
