Heyy EPTX can anybody tell me the best place to get Mexican food the way they make it in Cali 🤣😂

I am back and looking for a good restaurant while I am here !! Preferably Mexican food. Im from Cali and spoiled with the taco shops they have out there. I know this is probably a long shot so a restaurant with some good carne asada tacos and lemon drops would be great 😊

El Paso is widely regarded as having the best Mexican food in the US. Note that I wrote Mexican, not Tex Mex or Cali Mex. Lots of fantastic options, from hole in the wall to classy. We’re pretty damn proud of that and our sunsets.

If you’re still only interested in experiencing what you’re accustomed to and not experiencing something new, there is a San Diego style “Mexican” food place called Riva’s on Zaragoza.
