AT LAST, Republican Senators stand up to Trump on the trade wars

Some Republican Senators are talking about legislation to block Trump from his plan to tax imports from Mexico at rates up to 25% if the Mexicans don't stop refugees and illegals from entering the USA. And for good reason. Not only is it bad for our economy, it's potentially self defeating if his goal is to stop the flow of illegal immigrants. You throw a lot of Mexicans on the unemployment rolls and what they going to do? Come to the USA to look for work.

If Mueller indicted Trump for obstruction of the investigation of an imaginary crime it would be prosecutorial abuse.

If Dobbs and Rollins truly believe there should be no despicable opposition party, and the members of the ruling party should always praise the ground their Great Leader walks upon, maybe they should leave the United States of America. There are some Banana Republics out there that are more in line with what they want in a government.

When word gets around in Guatemala, etc., they’ll stop coming.

Democrat politicians think the immigrants will mostly vote for Democrats,
so they don’t want a solution.

We faced bigger challenges than slapping some tariffs on China. It will relatively painless for us in comparison to that. The Republicans should have Trumps back instead of standing up to him. Finally.

I can get crazier, maybe comparing the Sudetenland to 5% tariffs on Mexico (Trump has no interest in stopping at 5%). Or if Trump gets his preferred solution with China, a bilateral trade agreement so he can pursue the trade wars with Europe and Japan unhindered, he'll probably turn on the Chinese like Hitler did on the Russians.

It's interesting how he timed this so the shit would hit the fan while he's gone from Washington because of D Day Memorials. Undoubtedly he wants people to think it's their patriotic duty to support his tariffs on Mexico.
