This bands earlier lyrics actually did have socialist leanings, going so far as to having a song "Praise the Lord/Opiate of the Masses" inspired by Karl Marx. Im happy to say the doofus behind this lyrical "genius" is gone and their more recent lyrics have conservative political leanings.
