how do providers get banned

Hello:

I was planning on calling a provider that had started to advertise on the board recently. I just went back to her add from a few weeks ago and below her name it says banned. Her screen name is susan0725. How exactly does that happen? I just am curious what issue could cause that. Just in case I ever see that again on the board. I did not know if it was a service issue or just posting something she should not have.

Thanks for the clarification,

Sean

It is only a temporary ban. Thanks!

When someone gets themselves banned.... are they sent a message, telling how long the ban is in place? Or do they have to ask?

Is there a process in place, to alert anyone banned of when their sentence has been served and they can return to posting? Or, do they have to simply keep checking the site?

Just curious,

I would think depending on the offense a certain period of time is assesed and the person is informed. I may be wrong (I havent banned anyone yet lol) but I would think they would be informed probably by email...
Yeah, she told me she got an email letting her know that it was for two weeks, so I don't think it's a big mystery.

Yes in this case the person was told how long it would be. Once the ban is put in place whether it be a day, week, month or year, the clock starts and the system automatically unbans after the prescribed time.

Thanks!
