Take a deep breath (NUB)

Life is way to short to deprive ourselves of basic necessities. Food, Water, Shelter and procreation. I enjoy reading some of the forums where a few people ask if the people here feel bad about doing what they do. That question must come from a lonely person. At least the providers are purposeful and everyone benefits from the companionship. Imagine the stiff's stuck in a relationship they hate and while living in a glass prison. People have needs that are as basic as breathing so everyone should just take a deep breath, lay back and enjoy. There is nothing better then stress leaving the body.
I agree, there is nothing wrong with having sexual needs. I do think we also have intimacy needs, though, that can only be met with authentic interpersonal connection. A lot of people try to meet their intimacy needs by having promiscuous sex because they confuse sex with intimacy. And I do think that is a problem. Having lots of empty sex to meet one's need to love is harrowing and tragic.

Also, it can be confusing in deep, subtle ways when someone convincingly acts like they care about you. You know they don't, but your brain will still release Oxytocin when they caress you, when you finish inside of them, when they look into your eyes longingly. I think that confusing sense of false connection is what drives a lot of people in the hobby to emotionally disconnect, and that goes for both hobbyists and providers.

Thanks for the input and you are right, but what if there was a gap? Some aspects of fulfillment go unmet and there are things we do to bridge the gap. A couple that lives together and enjoys an interpersonal relationship might have those one or two things that are satisfying to them yet they both do things separately. One might like fishing and the other might like a day at the spa as a form of stress relief.

This seems to be a space similar to European and Asian cultures where human sexuality is embraced for what it is, a basic human need. I live in that culture quite some time. By all means, I would agree that many take it to an extreme and this leads down a path of emptiness, but anything done in moderation can prove to have a positive result. Hopefully technology will solve this some day, but it is nowhere close. Until then, I will just close my eyes.

Doc.. Thanks.. Lots of good discussion here. No dual account if there is someone else with this callsign. I grew up with that movie and one of my all time favorites other than Blade Runner (The Original) _ or >
