Democrats are seeking to manipulate the rules of Congress to further their agenda.
In an interview on Sunday, Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.), who caucuses with Democrats, said the party may be using reconciliation to pass major legislation.

Sanders indicated that Democrats may use the tactic to pass a massive COVID-19 relief package.
In contrast, Sanders denounced Republican efforts to use reconciliation in the past.
I criticized Republicans yeah for using reconciliation to give tax breaks to billionaires, to create a situation where large profitable corporations now pay zero in federal income taxes, Sanders said. Yes, I did criticize them for that and if they want to criticize me for helping to feed children who are hungry or citizens in this country who are isolated and alone and dont have enough food, they can criticize me.
Sanders added he and Democrats are working to pass the relief legislation quickly and they cannot wait to do so in the traditional fashion.
