Black Students Seek Non-White Roomate

At least these students agree with my premise that life is more comfortable around your own race. In the future, we will all embrace the concept, or kill each other off.

“When and if you understand this context, it becomes clear that students of color seeking a living space that is all-POC is not only reasonable, but can be necessary,” they wrote to the Post. “We live in a world where the living circumstances of POC are grounded in racist social structures that we can not opt out of. These conditions threaten the minds, bodies and souls of people of color both within and without the realms of higher education. We are fighting to exist.”

Safe spaces began popping up across Claremont Colleges in November, as students mobilized for greater diversity in the school and support services for diverse groups that were represented.

According to school data from fall 2015, 48 percent of Pitzer's 1,067 undergraduates are white while 5 percent are African-American.

For example, The 5C Students of Color Alliance also held an event at Pomona College to provide a safe space for “healing” and “self-preservation” for students of color. “Come by to chat, work, vent, organize, express, and do anything else that will help sustain you with other students of color,” they write in a Facebook post. “As this is a space for students of color, please respect the space as such."

Had one student who was a Marine sniper in Afghanistan. He was being roomed with a Middle Eastern student. He requested a new roommate and the school put him through the wringer by suggesting that he needed sensitivity training and other shit. He told them flat out, that he might wake up in the middle of the night, spy his roommate nearby, and kill him before thinking about it. That scared them and being a veteran, there wasn't much they could do without some serious PR problems. You'd think that educated people would figure this stuff out a head of time but when you look at Obama....you just throw your hands up sometimes.

My premise is that we all are capable of getting along on an individual level, and that plenty of POC are great folks, and plenty of white people are total assholes.

However, at the Macro-level, people are distrustful of other groups of a different tribe or color, and revert to their less lofty instincts, thereby creating a divided and hateful country that destroys itself.
