I am not quite a newbie but very little experience in this so called "hobby".
I have several hobbies, I love to take my son hunting, we race go carts, we go camping, we go fishing, I enjoy going to competition meat smoking events, I enjoy woodworking, I enjoy boating, I enjoy riding my motorcycle. This is just a small part of the hobbies I enjoy. I love spending time doing them all. When I cannot do them life does move on.
I also have several addictions. I smoke to much, I drink to much, I do enjoy these things also but when I cannot have them my mind takes over and I have to figure out a way to get them.
So should this really be called a hobby? I suggest we change the name to ""The Addiction""
Just trying to add a little humor but I am beginning to feel this way.
hey baby--i agree! I love what I do/who I do and everything about this life!!
{wish we could work on that together...lol....maybe one day}
Dallas - sounds like you're just another workaholic - a-dickded to your work! lol
If the devil was your husband, he'd...be damned...happy!
Addiction certainly is a side effect of the Hobby. In my case it's not the hobby itself that is addicting but I become addicted to certain providers over time and if I am unable to see them for any extended period it is like going through withdrawals. If I go for to long without seeing one of my favorites I just end up huddled in the corner shaking and sweating on a scotch and chain smoking binge listening the Carpenters Greatest Hits over and over again. It's not a pretty sight.
