How long for a reply to an ad?

I want to get others experienced opinion as I am a newbie. Typically how long should it take for a provider to answer your PM/e-mail to a request for an appointment? And at what point is it assumed that she isn't replying because she does not want to make an appointment? Because I certainly do not want to send another message in case it got lost and risk being annoying.
Probably a few days you can assume she isn't replying. If you tell a provider that you are new with no references but offer her employment info that usually will make you a diamond in the rough..because I personally have had messages from newbies who basically wanted to see me without giving any info about themselves, needless to say those types do not get a response from me

5 minutes newbie, wait no longer than 5 minutes. And make the Search tab your friend. This, and many of life's questions, can be answered by a simple search.

This topic is a common question for new folks, so it is not surprising that you are asking it. The answer--as is the case with so much of this corner of the world, is "it depends".

Is she traveling? If so it may take a while before she can read her e-mail. Not everyone has a smart phone, and not everyone can use it freely either because of no service (planes for example) or because she doesn't have the appropriate privacy.

Is she working? Either at this, or her day job. Again, that can influence when she can respond.

Is she a lady who often does long dates (weekends, etc.) Most do not do them often, but some do--and most will do so on occasion. If she is with another gentleman who is paying for her time it would be poor form to be reading/replying to others.

Is she checking your references/work info/other screening? That may take a few days, and while it would be nice if she wrote back and said, "Hi! I got your information and I'll get back to you soon." But most don't--just as most business people in other professions don't do so.

I am not saying this is what is happening, but it is just a short list of the things that may influence how long it takes her to reply.

That being said, most the time I would expect a reply within two or three days. Though sometimes it has been a week or so, even from a lady I have know well. Life occasionally gets in the way.

But if she does not write back, don't take it as personally directed at you. Most often it is either her less than stellar manners or other events got in the way. But if you really are interested in seeing her specifically, send a follow-up not if you haven't heard in three days. Few ladies will get upset at that, and those that do are not really the ones you want to see anyway.

Good luck.

also, and it sound simple, but look at the last time she was online at the site... If its been a couple of weeks, then you could be waiting a long time for a response....

just my $.02.

Exactly. Yes, I will give them a few days to respond, but if I see they haven't logged on to the site (here or P411) to even SEE my request in 3 days, then I don't get upset about no reply. I just figure they were very busy with other stuff or something and move on to the next on the list.

What you mean to say the providers are not sitting by their phones and computer waiting for fucktards to call or pm? Ya'll make it sound like the providers might actually have a life outside of the hobby.
