Vegas baby!!!

Heading out to the original "sin city" next weekend. Haven't been in several years and wanted to know if anyone has been recently...not sure what to expect, heard it has really changed.

Looking for good restaurants, cigar bar perhaps, or any other hot spots to check out.

Most of the time will probably be spent gambling and golfing (hobbying may be tough).

Any other suggestions would be appreciated!!

There are churches on every corner. The nuns work the stripper poles.

If it's in your budget the Wynn and Encore at the north end of the strip are super nice and have a connected golf course.
Got the room taken care of, and playing one round at Cascata, just wondering what else was available and new. Will probably be spending most of the time between the craps and blackjack tables...just wondering if there are any otherspots worthy of spending some hard earned money...thanks for the Wynn suggestion...looks like a really nice place.
This time of year = it is all about the pool scenes at the various hotels......tits and asses everywhere....

Hard Rock Casino and Hotel if you are up to it...if you aren't a guest, you might have to pay a pool fee...it is more fun that a strip club IMO.

Enjoy yourself......

They used to have a topless section but I've been at Aria the last couple of years so I'm not sure if they're still doing that or not.

Do your gambling but take a break every once in while. Vegas has so much to offer these days. Find a show or two that interest you. The Cirque shows are very good except for the Beatles Love (my opinion) O is my favorite, I've seen it more than 10 times over the years.

Joe's Stone Crab has a location in the Shops at Ceasar's. Also Zefferino in the Venetian.

I'm sure you'll get more suggestions. Lot's to do and many ways to find some fun.
If you like Tai food, make Lotus of Siam a must. Off the strip

They also have perhaps the greatest wine list of German wines in N. America. If you don't know what to order, ask the staff -- Bank if your best bet on picking wine -- to pick for you. All wines are a great value and German Rieslings are a great match with Thai food.

Nom Ko Tod is the go to appetizer. Fish dishes are great. And when they ask you how spicy on a scale of one to 10, be careful. 4 is very spicy. I've been at a table where one person (who lived in Thialand for half her life) went to 7 and it is the hottest thing I've ever put in my mouth. Uneatable, at least to me.

And in keeping with the subject of this board, it's in the same shopping center as The Green Door!!!
Start on the strip towards the end of your vacay go downtown i love downtown stay at the nugget tell em lola sent you... Lol jk! Money and comps go a long way downtown great way to unwind towards the end of the trip less walking and more people watching

Also check out the neon sign museum its awesome they have all the original signs restored from sands to stardust....

They have a new casino opening up first week of september they are matching all promo money... Plus ill be there!
Always bet black and never split tens ha ha
Thanks for all the input!! Not much of a pool scene guy (probably don't allow old big guys at those pools LOL) not big on Thai food but I may have to try that place (thanks Whirl and TTH!)

Lola, I will miss you by a couple of weeks...damn it!!! Will just have to try and get together when I come back!!! And don't worry...I never split tens...mortal sin!!!

Keep the input coming everyone!!
Try the Cosmopolitan Hotel its new, and great women at their clubs!
I been there and I stay at the Venetian Hotel is pretty fancy and they have a casino inside too, also make sure you go to the cirque du solei at The Mirage even though it's sounds expensive, cuts three hours out of your evening and sounds really boring, it's actually really cool and not expensive at all and totally Vegas, well worth it. I saw LOVE, Cirque du Soleil it celebrates the musical legacy of The Beatles through their timeless.
BigDogg; the pool scene at the Wynn, Bellagio, and Venetian are more laid back and age appropriate for non-Millennials.

Give Lotus a try during lunch time; still excellent, and much more casual.......at least you say you have eaten at North America's best tai restaurant.....

The international accolades for LOS is truly astounding, and well deserved.
Has anyone been to the nude beach at the mirage? How is it?
