Certainly we can speculate as to what might happen if the protests, riots, revolutions continue, but will the US continue to support the despots currently in power...as has been our policy since the end of WWI, or will we let the people of those countries figure it out for themselves?

Europe eventually figured it out...except of course for Russia ... I'm hopeful that the citizens of the Arab countries (and Iran -- technically not Arabic) can prevail against despotism and monarchy.
