Next LE Strike may be ads
A reliable source tells me a friendly detective has warned an escort that the next wave of LE action will be the slam dunk of aggressively going after ads that do not list escort license numbers.
Only Scottsdale has been periodically aggressive about enforcing the new Arizona law but other jurisdictions may be doing this in their next war on consenting adult companions. This of course will be great media hype for stopping sex trafficking. Even if a companion by ads is trafficking herself as the only "victim".
Specifically "the detective told her that they were going to be linking all posts to IP addresses. The girls would then be arrested for advertising without a license. He suggested that the provider delete all her posts immediately."
Dave notes - While this contact can not be positively confirmed, this would be the expected next step after all the underage entrapment stings, many massage parlor busts in recent months etc.
I have yet to see an ad or website that complies with the escort license law. The law requires open records, a log with positive id of every customer - the who, what, where info etc but of course nothing sexual.
The lead Phoenix vice detective at a hearing a week or so ago also testified she had never seen a compliant ad or as far as she knew no Phoenix escort licenses had been issued.
