How the fuck did we get to this point?

Has anyone noticed that almost every thread has some sort of pissing match playing out?

It's always the same people, with a few exceptions...

It reminds me of when I was a kid and had a land line with a cordless phone and occasionally another line leaked into ours. You would hear another conversation between two people and it was on a totally different topic.

It was interesting for a couple of seconds but got god damn annoying quickly because it interfered with you being able to communicate. It's like that.

For the people who insist on shit talking each other on every other fucking post... can you just pm each other all your insults? Do the rest of us need to witness your online grudge match?
I agree, and it's predominately the men, I had no idea men were capable of so much drama. I think people talk more shit and hide behind their keyboard. If these guys were face to face they'd either duke it out or discuss it and get over it and share a beer.

Sadly enough, trolling and other personality issues that lead this online verbal attacks and frustration venting wave, will drive the average member away. This is why some of us left Rubmaps and moved to eccie, and now we see the same trend.... In a just few months I see more and more of this BS aired. It is like reality tv shows... The really bad ones ...

Any suggestion how to bring back some positive and entertaining online behaviors?

Flagging trolled posts by users, will only amplify the off topic posts. The problem posters have more time and motivation to respond incessantly than you have, plus the language skills to put you down.

I suggest to give the mods more freedom to just remove trolled posts and suspend posting permissions for this stuff if they want to keep the site from becoming really boring. ( my 1.5 cents...)

Yeah, but there can only be so many provider with the biggest, smallest, most
often at the pawn shop threads.

There should be a pissing match forum that all pissing match threads are moved to.

And guess what?? It would be the most popular on the board.

A lot of the people on here are lowest common denominator/marginal personality anyway,
so there you go.
Because there are some people in this world that get a kick out of hurting others. In a weird way it makes them feel good and boost their self pride. Its sad but that's how it is.

It is not just one gender issue, IMHO, even you would expect more from the guys, since there is no incentive to create visibility for themselves. ( remember the nurse diaries ...?).

But you are on to something, Sophia. The drama is way less on single gender boards. It is maybe the WK or other instinctive fawning or self image projection behaviors surfacing on the coed area? Maybe....

.....interesting topic for a behavioral PH.D. thesis, LOL

Don't read shitty posts and don't feed the trolls by posting on their shitty personal attack threads. I'd love to read and post on the political threads but they degrade into homophobic rants and personal attacks. I can't read that shit so I don't even look at those threads.
I am slowly fading away from this site.

Taking a break from the keyboard was the best thing I did this summer.
No internet and just focused on myself.

Coming back.. I generally like to let my personality shine on the boards.. though I am finding less and less topics to respond to..

I think it is interesting and educational at times to read some persona's, though I am against internet bullies,.. and that is all I have to say about that.. lol.

For the most part:
Girls post ads.
Guys do reviews.

Guys posts ISOs
Girls answer ISOs

I look at ads
I look at reviews.

I spend time with somebody I like.
I might write a review.

Almost everything else means very little in my "grand hobby scheme".
