All of a sudden words in threads and posts are in blue and contain links. Is this another ad thing or do I have something? I do have malware and avast pro rescanned but they are still there. There also seem to be new tabs that open up when you just click on a post. Some are for car insurance some say browser is out of date. Any help?
Thanks

Make sure your browser is up to date.

Try the same sites with a different browsers.

locate add-ons for your browsers that are pop-up blockers.

After trying this and the same conditions show up on new browsers, then with almost certainty you gotta a virus.

Your brief description does indicate a high probability of "Adware".
When was the last time you went shopping for what you use for protection (pun intended)?
Note that if you once told "clicked" your machine that a site or program was "ok" you've most likely told it to skip over that stuff when its looking for things to remove, and that will remain resident in your machine.
Look in the "anti" software for a list of safe sites/programs that it maintains (it should be in there somewhere), and clear it all off.
Then re-run the program, specifically the adware part.
That all said, some of the low cost programs simply can't handle some the stuff that professional adware IT guys try to stuff into your computer nowadays.

download and run the free version of SuperAntiSpyware and it will clean out all the mess you have. It is AWESOME and free.

I just got home from best buy, bought a new laptop and along with it protection software. I installed the software, logged in to my email then went to pull up eccie...I got an alert from that software, Webroot, saying this site is reported to be unsafe and may contain malicious content...can a mod or someone please clarify?
Eccie definitely has malicious content.
