Newbie to hobby

What and how do you know what is crap and what isn't? I have visited 2 hosts in the Topeka KS area, withouth incident. However, what happens if I walk into a "sting?" Obviously don't talk to the police, but donating for someone's time isn't illegal, and having sex with a stranger isn't either, but how do you get nailed for visiting as a hobbyist? Wouldn't do the SW thing, have done the bp thing to get contact info. Looked up reviews on Eccie, but what if they aren't reviews there. Would like to see Molly in Topeka, just got a bad vibe the day I was in Topeka and see seemed way to eager for me to get there. Any ideas, or informed advice?
