Or one who has to deploy the "race card" to keep critics quiet! Little Speedo runs his life on polls. No original thinking. Just polls.

The flaws in relying on polls include: defective/outdated samples, defective/biased questions, and defective/biased interpretations.

Example: John Kerry in 2004 relying on the exit polls in Ohio as "proof" he was winning. He went "home" to get ready for the victory party!

HillariousNoMore had her wine ready in the room to celebrate her "shoe in" victory over ..... THE PRESIDENT!

Speedo made the same ignorant mistake HillariousNoMore did .... watching defective polls. I realize he wants to change the subject, but there was NO BLUE WAVE ... The Republicans control the Senate ... A President ALWAYS prefers to control the Senate ... whatever stupid shit the House passes must get through the Senate, and all his appointments go through the Senate ..... even with the spurious allegations and whimpering by the "other party"! Besides look at the loudmouthed trash the "blue ripple" brought to the House. Some victory! Originally Posted by LexusLover

I would be proud to be a socialist if I was one. You have absolutely NO idea what socialism is and continue to accuse anyone who does not support Trump of being a socialist. I do not support higher taxes. I do not support more government involvement in my life.

Medicare is a fantastic program. I have no idea what you have against it. iIt is NOT socialism. I have no problem with Medicare for All if it was economically feasible. It isn't. Medicaid helps those who need help. I have never used Medicaid but I most certainly support it. There are many people in this country who need a helping hand at times, not a handout, and I have no problem with part of my taxes going to help them.

I support Obamacare until something better is proposed to replace it. Republicans have had 9 years to come up with a superior plan and have failed to do so. Don't blame Democrats for that. And Obamacare is NOT socialism. If you believe that it is, you are once again showing your ignorance as to what is and what is not socialism.

I do disagree with Biden's statement that more clinics should be built around the country and imply that they would be only for illegal immigrants. I do support the spending of money to care for those illegal immigrants at the border. That is why Congress just approved $4.5 billion in part for that support. As requested by Trump. I support conservative values period...I vote for ideology not a person...you might try it some time SPEED.

I guess you're like your buddy TM...he's a liberal/conservative and a socialist/capitalist...in other words he doesn't know what the fuck he is.

I don't know what socialism is...Obummercare, where you're forced to buy health insurance to cover the people who will cost the system more than they pay in.
Were the Gumment TELLS you what health insurance coverage you must purchase no matter the cost.
Where you can no longer choose your dr. and the cost every year skyrockets to cover the expenses of the high risk people who are no longer paying the actuarials that come with the risk. You say something in regards to showing ignorance??...DO TELL SPEED!!

As I said the Gumment doesn't belong in healthcare(socialism) under any circumstances...you seem to think so...Hummm socialism.

You seem to thing Medicare for all would be a good idea...if "it was economically feasible"...you'll find that where unicorns graze. Medicare for all IS COMPLETE GUMMENT CONTROL...congrads SPEED you're a socialist!!
I did mention in a previous post that this grand thing called Medicare is going insolvent sooner than expected.

I love the way you said..."congress just approved"...as always SPEED you conveniently left out that the Democraps did this kicking and screaming until they realized it wouldn't be to their political advantage not to do so.

This election is OVER. Republicans should start focusing on 2020. Unless a bomb hits between now and November 8th there is no way Trump can overcome the lead that Clinton has in the polls. For those of you who are still not believing the polls . . . we'll see in a handful of days how accurate they are.
The Trump Bomb HIT!

Here's what Speedo PREDICTED!!!!!!!!!!! The "blue wave"!!!!!.... Originally Posted by LexusLover

Obamacare is NOT socialized medicine. Plain and simple. If you think so, again you do not understand what socialized medicine is. People have a choice. Under socialized medicine they don't have a choice. The VA system is socialized medicine.

"Socialized medicine is, by definition, a health care system in which the government owns and operates health care facilities and employs the health care professionals, thus also paying for all health care services."

And Medicare is NOT socialized medicine.

Most polls will tell you how many people were part of the poll, and who they were (registered voters. likely voters, etc.). There are polling companies that have been doing this a long time and they are, for the most part, very accurate. Polls in 2016 were very accurate at the national level, somewhat inaccurate at the state level. In 2018 they were nearly perfect.

Polls predicting the 2020 election should be taken with a huge grain of salt. As I've said, when polls taken by 2 companies and by the Trump team show Trump losing to not only Biden but several other Democratic contenders, I'm sure the Trump reelection team is standing up and taking notice. It's hardly coincidence that Trump started his reelection campaign in Florida on June 17th and very recently visited Wisconsin, 2 key battleground states. I'm sure he will be in Michigan (which he visited in late March) and Pennsylvania (which he visited on May 20th) again very soon. Trump knows the states he needs for reelection.

Since the campaign has just started and the Democratic nominee will be unknown for another year, the platform is yet to be finalized. However, here is the official 2019 platform:

Raising wages, closing the wealth gap, strengthening Social Security

Lowering health care costs; ensuring all Americans have access to quality, affordable health care; stabilizing Medicare and Medicaid

Sensible immigration reform that keeps America’s promise
Defending our borders, our ideals, and our institutions

Supporting our veterans and military families

Fixing our criminal justice system to eliminate systemic racism
Guaranteeing rights for minorities, people with disabilities, the LGBTQ community, and all Americans

Acting to advance women’s rights, protect access to reproductive care, fight for equal pay, stop violence against women, and elect more women to public office

Protecting and promoting every American’s fundamental right to vote

Advancing clean energy and climate change action

Common-sense gun reforms

Smarter infrastructure investments

Advancing access to liberty and equality for all

Investing in modern education and jobs programs that prepare our kids for tomorrow’s challenges

Methinks you forgot to add motherhood, apple pie and the flag to that platform lol.

Oh wait... the pro-abortion dims knocked out motherhood, the environmentalists shot down apple pie (uses insecticides), and Colin Kaepernick/BLM stripped out any reference to the flag!

Got it!

Besides, I don't trust the dims to keep their promises, even when they get more specific. Ten years ago, in an effort to pass the ACA, they promised illegal immigrants would not qualify for govt healthcare.

Ooops! Wtf happened? Did they lie? Sure seems like it.
Thanks for clearing that up - you confused me.

Let's see. 2019 - 38 = 1981. 2019 - 53 = 1966. So it should have been 23 - 38. My bad.

Isn't it strange how rates have skyrocketed for almost all people after this unconstitutional overreach was implemented.

How many people were happy with the healthcare until this garbage...many suffer so that a small minority call benefit...thank you GUMMENT!!
Yeah speed I'm not on Medicare yet but the people that I know on Medicare carry supplemental coverage to pay for a lot of what Medicare doesn't cover.

My insurance now is 60% more then before unACA...real coincidence. My deductible is 7k a year...and 7k premium 14k a year without any money being paid by my insurance...so much for affordable!!

I glade they did away with the unconstitutional "mandate" and now I pray that the days are numbered on this. Wasn't this passed as the mandate not being a tax when it was ruled a tax...WTF, pretty shady dealings.

The Gumment doesn't belong in our healthcare...PERIOD.
The less the Gumment is involved in our the better.

I have said before -- the ACA is far from perfect. Many have higher premiums and higher deductibles under the ACA. And many millions have insurance that they otherwise could not have afforded. And I continue to have to remind you that Republicans have offered NOTHING better in over 9 years since the ACA became law. Since the ACA has little impact on my life personally, either before or after I retired, I rely on Congress to decide what is best for the people of this country. I want something better than the ACA. I have not seen any proposals yet that are better. I do not defend simply repealing the ACA without a replacement.

You think the government should not be involved in healthcare at all. My guess is that everyone on Medicare would disagree with you.

"Currently, 60% of Americans say the government should be responsible for ensuring health care coverage for all Americans, compared with 38% who say this should not be the government’s responsibility. The share saying it is the government’s responsibility has increased from 51% last year and now stands at its highest point in nearly a decade."
